| Groovestem Bouchea can be found in rocky, limestone soils of the Edwards Plateau. It is an upright perennial that grows to a height of less than three feet. The leaves are narrow, thin in texture and 1 3/4 inches long. The flowers are found on a spike that is 2 to 4 1/2 inches long. The large purple flowers have five lobes, each measuring 1/5 inch long. Groovestem Bouchea blooms from July to October. | |
