Southwestern Carrot is an erect, annual plant growing one to three feet tall. The roots have a characteristic carrot odor. The flowerhead consists of several small white flowers gathered in a compound umbel. The leaves of this plant grow up to seven inches long and are pinnately divided. Southwestern Carrot can be found in the South Texas Plains and the Edwards Plateau regions and blooms from April to June. The leaves are eaten by white-tailed deer.
