| Sneezeweed has a flower head with yellow ray flowers, sometimes with red-brown color basally, and red-brown disk flowers. It can reach a height of two feet. It can be found on the Edwards Plateau in wet sandy to clay soils. Sneezeweed flowers May through June and has a powder that causes sneezing but can be used for treating colds and congestion. Native Americans have used the leaves as a laxative but it is toxic to cattle. | |
