| Bentspike pennisetum is a tall grass which can reach a height of almost ten feet. A South American native, it can be found in moist soils, especially along rivers and streams of the South Texas Plains. The leaf blades are long and flat and about 1/4 inch across. The inflorescence is a long purple panicle with bristles. Bentspike pennisetum blooms during the summer and fall. | |
