Hop the trolley from the Riverwalk to Market Square--this is my favorite restaurant in town!!!
Mi Tierra ROCKS !!! It is a bit of a hike from River Walk, but not
horrifying. It's located right next to a very nice Mercado with tons of
cool store. Food is great, mariachis play well, and aren't too pushy,
the place is decorated with Christmas lights, and the patisserie is
really deluxe. Gorgeous spot, good prices, authentic!

This is a car trip from the Riverwalk, but if some out-of-state people want a fun "Texas" dining experience, this is it.
Waitresses wear western outfits complete with six-shooters and fringe miniskirts--this is where you can get the giant steak.
